Title: thrush nest 4 babies
Post by: flossie on May 13, 2006, 11:16:03
Have been very worried about the Thrush who has nested in a wood pile adjacent to the path on my plot as it would be so easy for the lottie cats to get her.

She has hatched 4 beautiful babies.  They are so big now that she can hardly sit on top of them!  When I walk past they sit so still.

Would love to take a picture but don't want to frightend them off.

Flossie. How exciting. I am sure blackbirds are nesting in my conifers and yesterday my thrush seemed to "dive" in to the conifers so I am hoping!!

the one thing i hate about digital cameras is that they "turn themselves off" so just when you want to point and click, the whole thing needs to warm up again.  doesn't help the on the off chance pics.

i've found a couple of creeping felines going through my garden just lately, i really need to get one of those scarer things.

hope your babies make it  ;D

Yes thanks they have flown - brilliant four more  beautiful thrushes on the allotment.
The bad news is that our mad cat has just discovered the great tit nest in the box at the bottom of the garden
