Title: when to stop puting soil on spuds

can you tell me when do i stop putting soil on top of the spuds i planted them 4 inch deep on mounded earth on top about 4 inch and they have come through and the leaves are around 3 inch tall do i still have to cover them with earth or not thanks

Earthing up will produce more potatoes not just protection from frosts, so dont stop earthing up just because of frost.

There are 2 other threads on this - but you'll do no harm if you earth up as long as you've got soil or mulch or energy to do it with.

Not so important - & virtually impossible! - when the rows meet together.
