Post by: Crash on May 10, 2006, 12:52:12
How many Pepper plants can I put in a super size grow bag? I've no idea how big they grow.

I don't know how big a supersize grow bag is but last year, I had 4 pepper plants in roughly a square yeard of soil.
Mine grew to about 2 feet tall and perhaps a foot wide.

Supersize is about 3'x1'

I would not go for more than 2 to be honest. They can get large and they like air flow around them.

The more open they are the better the peppers are at ripening too.

Is it warm enough to have them outside? Or do they need to be inside?

Mine are still under cover and will stay so until the end of this month. Then some will move outside but most stay under glass.

Mine have been in a coldframe for a month now, they really don't mind a bit of cold, but a frost would be deadly.

I will be planting out in a week, I would be tempted to wait two in suffolk, but we will still have to hope we don't get a late frost.

However, mine will be remaining on a very warm patio.
