Title: Ornamental Pepper Black Pearl
Post by: the_enlightened_one on May 08, 2006, 23:35:49
Im looking for somewhere that sells the seeds...does anyone know where i can get some ?

Capsicum annuum ‘Black Pearl’ (ornamental pepper):

The ‘Black Pearl’ is a handsome plant with black foliage that looks better as the summer season progresses. This AAS flower award winner is exceptionally heat tolerant and requires minimal water or fertilizer. While edible, the 3/8 inch round, black peppers mature to red and are very hot to the taste.

Try over here: http://www.seeds-by-size.co.uk/pepper98.html (http://www.seeds-by-size.co.uk/pepper98.html), look down near the bottom of the page.

...5 seeds for £3, or 10 seeds for £5

On the off-chance I had a look on ebay, and wouldn't you know  :o

Same sort of price, mind you - but at £3.25 including the postage, may be slightly less painful than the Seeds-by-Size £3 plus postage.

Maybe I'm just a naturally suspicious person but that same e-bay seller is claiming that 'Aurora' is RARE.  As Simpsons Seeds sell them for £1.50 for 30, I know who I'd rather buy from...
