i had a search on google and looked at a couple of people's blogs from previous years.  i'd say i'm about two weeks behind so given our cold snap and general behindedness of some of the plants and my location, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that these two are just getting started.

i do hope so.  i put the static bird table under the box (thinking the box was redundant) but will move it now so the bully pigeons don't frighten them off.

Mrs KP Re bully pigeons. Yesterday a very large pigeon was sitting on one of the "arms" of my feed station. He was getting quite annoyed as he couldn't get to the feeders.

i'm not sure whether they're d**n clever i.e. try and land on the robin's feeder and make enough commotion to spill half of it on the ground, or whether they're just thick :-)

yes it  could be your location alright. I wonder do they compensate for the shorter summer by an intensity of "action" in the longer summer evenings!!! wink wink, nudge nudge, know wot I mean, know wot I mean
