There's also a pond with slug munching frogs - took me ages to dig a hole deep enough as it was a bit rocky here. I know I know its a buried bath but the kids like it.

Apologies to non-broadband users - have just read the Please Please message and I hang my head in shame, will reduce the image sizes further.
Glow. When did you find the time to sleep? Great pics and what hard work has been put in to that plot. You really do deserve bumper crops this year. Thanks for sharing.
Lorna.
Wow...have really enjoyed my middle of the night wander thru your allotment.....it's huge!....are you ever at home?
Love your chooks.
Very well done :)

It's not that big because it's quite narrow, but it's a long walk with a watering can!
My wife would say that I spend all my time up there, in reality I spend all my time with another looty holder drinking and eating cakes ;)
And you have a VIEW to boot!!
What an inspiring sight - makes me long for a full size allotment. Mine is only about 100 square yards, including a large old apple tree, and no prospect of any more. The cold frames are wonderful - my lettuces are in the open, but I am thinking of making a sheltering frame. Very envious of your leeks too, as mine have not raised their heads yet.
All that in a year! Fantastic.
Really enjoyed the tour glow, it must be hard to tear yourself away from the lovely plot you've created. LOL@illustrated A4a tips too ;D - and the dog for company - bliss!
10 / 10, A credit to you!
take the pics to the doctors to help explain your bad back! :) :) :)
Or to your next job interview!!
Well Done

Hi Glow,
Congratulations, your lottie looks absolutely fantastic! And now I'm deeply depressed as mine looks nothing like that... :(
Cheers,
Rob ;)
Inspirational Glow! ;D
Many congrats Glow! I loved that walk..... it was very interesting! I am so impressed and you have achieved so much in only a year. Everything looks brilliant and so well organised. Very inspiring! :) busy_lizzie

Why not use some of those pipes to to transport water to strategically placed water barrels?
What an absolute inspiration Glow......well done you!! And all in a year!
Impressed and envious, all at the same time. Motivated too - hope my lottie looks like that in a years time - back to the diggin' and weedin' then........
WOW and double WOW, looks great. I love your use of the pipes for raised beds. I think lotties look so much more interesting when you're allowed to build things on them. We can't have anything permenant over a metre high and the whole plot looks boring.

Unfortunately I call them pipes but they are actually tubes from the centre of shrink wrap bags and not suitable for carrying water. I still need another 35 to finish my remaining beds but they are now a bit scarce at work. :'(

Can yo not get round this by having a 2 meter tall shed but digging a hole 1 meter deep and putting it in that - with steps down to it?
Where's the water table? Someone tried to put an Anderson shelter (which is a similar idea) on my plot in the war, and it flooded, as the plot's just next to a stream.
The powers that be would block anything I tried to do. There is a container for the use of us all but the only people that are 'allowed' a key, are them. When I asked for one they said there's no point because I would only be allowed to keep a fork and spade in there and they haven't got a spare one!. They rule the roost, this couple. I had some manure dumped on the very corner of the lottie next door and was told I would have to pay for the rent of the plot. It has been vacant for 12 years and is so over grown (pics on another thread somewhere)as have 30 odd others, I wish someone would take it.
I've been entranced by a walk through your lottie Glow. Cannot believe the change a year's made :D And just loved the incorporated A4A top tips.....all of which work a TREAT 8)
Many many thanks for taking the trouble to show them, and please can we have some more as the season progresses?
Ta! Lishka
the a4a tip i forgot to show was the gutter pea method (+ pre germinating) I am so impressed with this!
