Title: Tatsoi
Post by: bananagirl on May 02, 2006, 09:12:40
Hey, does anyone know what the seedlings look like? Bed is covered in weeds, and they're all seedlings, so apart from the obvious, I'm clueless. Help me, help me! :(

Thanks y'all

Hi bannan girl, sorry but I don't even know what Tatsoi are! what kind of fruit/veg are they, I'm sure someone on this site would have grown them

Bananagirl

AKA Pak Choi?  If so, then the seedling leaves will be quite big, flat and a bit heart shaped.  They look like calabrese seedlings, if that helps.

Did you sow them in a row?  I find that helps finding the seedlings I want to keep as the same leaf shapes are in the row.

Happy hunting ;D

I think it's part of the cabbage family. Cabbagey seedlings are easy to recognise, as described by SMP1704. Do you grow rocket or radishes?  The Tatsoi ones will probably look similar.
