Ran out of plastic bottles after cloching the frisee so made good use of the next best thing for the top of the canes. Safety first and recycling too ;D
Don't know what the neighbours think ;)

Modified to add. Please reduce the size of your pictures before posting. It has taken me 7 minutes to see them and I cannot add a reply as we keep getting timed out waiting for them to appear.
450 pixels wide is standard. Nice pics by the way.
haha! very nice!
tidy lookig plot you have there
A'hem. Do you think I could use brandy bottles?? ;D
Must congratulate you on your plot. Looks really good.

Thanks for the compliments, I must say we are feeling pretty chuffed with it all as it's actually the bottom of the garden and we only moved in last May, we fell in love with the size of the garden and the outlook. It's been a hard slog as it was turfed before and we found an enormous greenhouse had been dropped and buried beneath the top layer, complete with footings, glass etc. I'm going to be finding glass in the earth for years. The good side is, it was obviously once a gardener's garden and the soil itself is lovely, although we do have a fair bit of couch grass and patches of the deadly mare's tail (grrr).
I'm so excited about this season's growing, I can go out to peg washing and not come back for ages!
Thirsty work though ;)
Another little session complete, spot the celebratory bottle...
