I like them Georgie!, is the second one 'Honesty' (Lunaria) ?
Thanks. :) Yes, it is Honesty and it taken it three years, rather than the usual two, to flower. So I threatened it earlier in the year and it seems to have worked. ;D

Georgie. Lovely!! The question I was going to ask you has been answered ;D IE second photo..Thanks for sharing. Keep them coming but if anything different from my limited knowledge would you name them please ;D ;D
Best wishes Lorna
Thanks Lorna and sorry, yes, I will name them in future. :)

Lovely photos Georgie :) Watch out for the dreaded lily beetle though :o
Shhh GG, they don't know where I live! ;) Yet! :(

as long as you don't send em round to mine either, i'll keep your secret if you keep mine. got tonnes of lilies and go over them with a fine toothcomb every day ;D
lovely pics Georgie!
Thanks, Mrs KP. :) I love Lilies: they are second only to Freesias as my favourite scented flower. (Wait for the Rose lobby to pile in now! ;)) The Lilies in the pics are called 'Orania' which I haven't grown before but I am already very impressed with the foliage. My favourite Lily so far is 'Nipon' which is the one in my avatar. What's your favourite?

I think for pure immenseness this one ........... sorry don't have a name, i grew it last summer before i started taking any notice of names .... :o
edited again: possibly Oriental Casa Blanca, will check for sure tomorrow, if the label is still there. ;D
My daughter bought me a bag of 10 mixed bulbs for Mother's Day. Best pressie I could wish for.
;D
another edit : just googled Orania, very delicate colour. really nice.
Oooooo, that is lovely and I can almost smell it! Once I know the name I'll add it to my wish list. ;D

it is maseeeev. blooms the size of a dinner plate with petals about 1/2" thick! trouble is i don't know which pot it's in lol. ;D
OOH GORGEOUS!! WHEN I GET TO KNOW A BIT MORE ABOUT GROWING I WNT TO TRY SOME OF THOSE.
i've NEVER had any probs growing lilies (and touch wood, never been bothered by the evil beetle ...yet). i just bung em in pots and away we go. not sure if i've ever fed them either !! :o
the first year i grew some orange ones, i'd just left them outside all winter, not knowing what to do with them (or care if the truth be known) and blow me if they didn't all come up again the following year !!
i'm taking a bit more care this year ;D but like George said, they have wonderful foilage too, so plenty of impressive green to look at while your waiting for the blooms.
;D
lovely pics girls :)
I'd agree with Mrs KP that Lilies are really easy to grow in pots. Mine get decent compost and a two weekly spray with seaweed solution once they are in bud and that's all.

I have lost some of my lilies in the garden this year so maybe when I replace them I will plant them in pots and maybe the evil VW's wont attack. I'm not holding my breath though ;) ;D That is a beauty MrsKP :)
Well girls and boys ........... it would appear that i've got two pots with whites in !!!!
Lily Wolga
Lily White American
Now I can't find a pic of Wolga on-line and White American doesn't really look as if it's the one.
They were both from that trusty Lily bulb specialist ............... B&Q ..... and both had "multipack" on the labels.
Obviously very rare and exotic. :P
I still say Casa Blanca looks more like mine from the google pics, but I think Wolga's the one we're looking for.
Now that Windy has taught me how to propogate from scales, i can try doing that at the end of the season if you like. It means we've got a bit of a wait but then at least i know i've got the right plant.
;D
Crikey, how big is your garden G? Look forward to more pics of wood, paddock and lake shortly. It's lovely sharing it, thank you :)
Lovely lily mrskp, you don't get many of them to the poond eh ;)
