Title: pea support for block planting
Post by: Justy on April 30, 2006, 21:18:33
can anyone give me any tips/advice for supporting peas that are block planted?  The methods of running netting along the row don't really seem suitable in a block.

I have lots of apple branch prunings that  I wondered if I could use.   ???

Hi justy,

Prunings sound ideal, lucky you having them! More advice on pea sticks at http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/joomla/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,57/topic,12117.0

As I'm growing peas in blocks for the first time this year I will be following John Seymour's advice (see pic below, ignore text) sticking them in fairly thickly. Fingers crossed! :)
