Title: When will my onions be ready?

I'm talking autumn planted onion sets. I bought a bag each of red and white that was as much as it said on the bucket in the garden centre.

Possibly end of June or into July depending on how well they're growing,some people like to pull and use them still green owing to the high price of onions in summer.

Yes as mother has intimated, I also use autumn sown onions purely for summer use, until the main crop appear in September. Therefore I will pick them as soon as they are ready to eat, anytime from the end of May really ...

I'm a wizard with a washing machine and a press... I don't do the ironing so Mrs Crash gets the few shirts that are left over after I press.
