Title: Newborn Lambs and Foxy Loxy
Post by: Paulines7 on April 28, 2006, 12:26:34
I took a picture of some new born lambs yesterday whilst in the Wylie Valley, Wiltshire.   ;D

To begin with the sheep all gathered around the mother and babies, almost to welcome the new arrivals.  It must have just happened when I came across them.

We noticed a fox trotting around the top of the field.  It may have been after the mother's placenta but rather than risk it getting to the lambs, we called in at the farmhouse.  The lady who lived there said they were her lambs and she would tell the shepherd.  She wasn't bothered about the fox and said it was often around.  I managed to get a pic of the fox though it was a long way off.   :D

Great photos Pauline. Hope the fox didn't touch the lambs.
