Title: Another one for Tim perhaps

Click on Merlins

That sound always raises the hairs on the back of my neck.
There was a Mozzy mid-restoration at Swinderby when I was posted there (1980), wonder if it's flying yet

Our house is less than a mile from Waddington and Swinderby (now closed) and we get a lot of aircraft flying over on the weekend of the Air Show.
The planned displays this year include a Merlin:-

I'll give it a wave from you ;D

Beat me to it!!
I last flew with the Arrows in 1961, when they were based here. Only JP's then!!

MT - can't get into it -  add aircraft etc  - black screen - nothing??

Flew the Mossie in '45. And the pictured Zeke in the same year! Cockpit filled with petrol.

The Merlin sound - know what you mean. No2 son does a very good imitation.

Hello Tim

I've never bought a lottery ticket and doubt that I ever will but I am pleased to say that the "Peoples Millions" are putting money into a heritage park over the road from my school in Birchwood, Lincoln.

It is to go on the largely disused old RAF Skellingthorpe site.  Both children and veterans will work together on the design.  The children are really excited about working on it and learning more about their heritage.

Just noticed my faux pas - Arrows at Scampton.  Swinderby is now a glorified Antiques centre :-[ Sorry Pete.

Oh, YES!!

But sim or real? Can't tell! And where from?

It looks real when played full screen but I didn't think that there were that many left that are still airworthy, I suspect a bit of trickery

The other video on there is quite amusing, though the presenters language is probably more suited to the watershed

A GREAT trick! SO convincing. But, of course, you wouldn't have had them filmed full- frontal if real.

No matter - one for the archives. Especially with the bonus of the Spits!

And how do you get 'full screen' on that? Can't see it.

And going a step further - looked at the other clip, & it's one that our BofB chap sent me the other day. And that was REAL!!

Can't see a lead anywhere.
