This is not so much as a request to swap as a request to receive....!
I have just started an organic gardening club at the junior school that I work at and I am appealing for any spare seeds - or even better seedlings - to get us off to a good start this year. Ideally we are after very easy grow, quick result things.
Any help gratefully received by myself and the children!
PM me your addy if you're interested in various lettuce seeds - got lots!!
Good luck with the venture - sounds just great!

Are you looking for veggies, flowers or both? Flower wise I can offer Nasturtiums and Sunflowers, and veggie wise Radish Scarlet Globe and French Bean Aiguillon. PM me if you are interested - I'm all for getting kids involved in organic gardening . :)

Hi,
Good luck with your venture. Please PM with you name and address and I will find something to send you.
I feel very strongly that a lot of children are fed microwave meals, never see (let alone eat) a veggie, and as a result - how are they going to feed/raise their own families???????
Kind regards
Ann
Please PM me i have some herbs seeds about 4 packets if you would like them .
i have a spare packet of runner beans you are welcome too. Also some un-named french beans(dwarf i think). let me know if they are of use.

- About 15 Broad Bean seeds (Green Windsor)

Why ??? Don't you like carrots ??? ;) ;D
We are a member of the RHS at school. It does not cost anything and they regulary send out packet of seeds. They also have a scheme where you can choose different seeds from a little catalogue. It might be worth looking on their website. Oh yes - they also send us a copy of "The Garden" magazine.
Good luck with the plot.
i think 2000 might be enough to see me through Lish ;D
WOW - you are all very generous people - I agree with a lot of you, some kids are never allowed to get their hands dirty or get a chance to eat really fresh food. We are planning veg and flowers and the area we have is a good size and the soil is to die for!
I will be PMing all those who have offered - thanks again.
or maybe were just over enthusiastic when the seed catalogues came out ;D ;D ;D ;D

but not if only 1800 germinate!!! you never thought of that KP!! ;) ;)
ALL my seeds germinate KevB, it's what i do with them after that that kills them off ;D
had a look under the fleece over the carrot bath today and there's a nice wee row all coming up nicely. gave them and their bodyguards (onions, garlic) a water and popped their overcoat back on.
i'm away next weekend, but when i get back, i'll sow my next row and i'll still not get through the packet by summer, THEN i've got to find room to plant my Autumn King carrots !!!! i'm almost wishing all my spring bulbs would hurry up and die back so i can use the pots for veg !! the half-whisky barrel is defefinitely looking odds on to become another carrot bed and lord knows where the parsnips are going !
