Here you go:
http://www.freeplants.com/free-potting-bench-plans.htm (http://www.freeplants.com/free-potting-bench-plans.htm)
possibly here:
http://www.rockler.com/findit.cfm?page=10194&cookietest=1 (http://www.rockler.com/findit.cfm?page=10194&cookietest=1) (but costs $9.99)

This is one of my favourite sites but does not appear to be functioning properly at the moment.

This isn't a plan, more a visualisation (drives OH bonkers) ;D ;D

Picture this, you have found 3 pallets that are all the same size.

Stand them up on their ends, say 2 or 3 feet apart - depends how long you want the bench to be.

Prior to this, you will have called into your local timber yard and purchased a length of ply or OSB, suitable to fit the dimensions of your pallet bases.

Put the sheet on top of the pallets and nail or screw into place.

Viola! a potting bench

Instead of the ply, you could also use the pallet planks to make the worktop - personally, I think life is too short to reclaim wood from pallets..........unless someone has a magic tip for separating the wood from the base without it splitting?

I like the first model, but by the time you have bought all those pieces of wood, screws and fixings it may be as cheap to buy one and not have the hassle of building one !

Alternatively, i may continue to use the patio table indefinately and risk an ear bashing from the wife !  Im sure she"ll come round if i suggest we get a better one to enjoy dining in the finely crafted garden that is ...................................in progress !

For the garden, I use the workmate and a green plastic potting tray, easy to put up, put away and does the job ;D

I was thinking on the lines of a folding table attached to the side of the shed, so when you pull the table down the legs unfold and hey presto!

Dunno whether I've seen this here B4 or just dreamed it up ::) :P if I get round to making one I'll share the plan wiv ya. ;) ;D
