Where is the best deal at the moment?

my local greengrocer's still got them at 99p. Some growbags, tho, are definitely substandard. Best to get a well-known brand I think. Have Wickes any deals on, I wonder? Wyvale's usual offer of big bags of compost 3 for £10 is being bettered by them - 4 for £10 today. I'm using these in tubs instead of growbags.
Wickes were selling them at about £1.25 yesterday - no deals on the growbags, but got 4 x 80l (I think) bags of multipurpose for a tenner and 3 x big bags of bark for the same.
Same deal on the multi-purpose that I got KayPee - my strong & obliging neighbour fetched them for me today - along with 10 bags of pea gravel to surround the 'house. Going to be good for standing tubs on. So while he was fetching these for me, I was raiding Home Bargains for 6 arches for him. Fair deals all round, then 8)...so who fetched yours, then? ;)
I got mine from ALDI at 89p a bag.

it's all being delivered today along with the timber and four bags of gravel for the g/h. i decided to give the poor car a rest as her suspension has already taken a fair pounding this year. the cost of delivery was prohibitive however so i thought i might as well make it worthwhile and the nice delivery men can carry it all round the back ;D
My local flower shop has them at 99p each. However, I've had my fingers burned before by cheap growbags - nothing thrived in the last lot I bought at 99p so it was money (not to mention time & effort) down the drain. I now only buy the cheap ones to top up my raised lasagne beds, and use "name" bags for growing stuff in. Sorry to sound negative, but it REALLY hurts when you've nursed a few dozen plants from seed, only to see them turn into stunted wimps once they're bagged up!

It's all been said before, but cheap is not necessarily good. Contents can vary from 35-65l per bag. And Which had some useful comment. And what is £1 or so difference if you're getting 20lb of toms from a bag??
Don't know about growbags especially, but Arthur Bowers (William Sinclair now!) always get star rating.
