Title: pepper chilli wilt a bit

I have grown some chilli pepper from seed
Jalapeno summer heat f1

there about a 12" tall now and in a pot approx 12" tall by9" in dia but they seem to be a little wilty at the mo

presently sat in the conservatory near the window temp in there varies from 12 to 18 deg at the mo

the compost is moist but not what id call wet

any ideas ? these boys are my family and intend to invite them to tea one night !

May be a bit overpotted, they really don't like their roots being wet

Yes I agree on the watering issue, peppers seem to prefer quite dry compost, far drier than tomatoes for example. They also dislike cool conditions, from what you say about temperature, it could be closer to 12 deg than 18...

thanks people ill let them dry out a bit then and heating turned up a bit although when i looked at the thermometer it did read 70 this morning at 0430 ? so hope fully it maybe there just a little bit to wet i hope !!
