I presume devilled chicken is curried? I hope that's olive oil its swimming in!
By the way, i'm getting rescued battery hens on sunday and i hope they're not gonna end up like that, rather prefer them them to have a classical funeral, roasted! only joking!

No, Gem - dry mustard, ketchup & Worcestershire or soy sauce.

And it's especially for left-overs - if there are any.

Oil - not exactly 'swimming' - about 1/8" all over. And very tasty for future uses. A  smaller pan would have needed less.
