Title: Peace Lilly - Mg deficiency?
Post by: JimmyJames on April 18, 2006, 15:48:59
Hi all,
This is my first post.  Admittedly it concerns a houseplant so it may be slightly off topic, or even off forum!  I hope you don't mind me posting it here.  I signed up when I put my name on the allotment waiting list in the winter, so I thought I might as well use the resource while I wait for a plot!

I have a Peace Lilly on my desk at work, and the leaves have started to look a bit anemic.  The veins are still dark green, but the space in between is yellowing - mainly on the older leaves.

Internet searches have led me to believe that the plant has a magnesium deficiency, and further searches have pointed me towards using an Epsom salts foliar spray.

This is where my searches drew a blank.  Does anyone have any info/advice on using Epsom Salts to spray the leaves?  What dose should I use?  How often should I do it?  Is there anything else I should consider?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
James

Thanks Deeds, there is some useful information on the best dose to use there.

I think I will give it a try.
