Hi there
I have two huge clumps of daffodils that need to be split up and divided. See pic below. I think they are the early type Tete a Tete - any ideas / confirmation?
Now the problem I have is - do I lift them 'in the green' or carry on feeding them and let their leaves die down and then lift them and split them.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
They look rather large for tete a tete they could be Charity May but with several thousand varieties to choose from not certain. You really should leave them until the foliage has died down, the trials at Wisley recommend at least 6 weeks after the flowers have died. Lift them allow to dry out of the sun, keep in a cool place until the end of August/Sept and then replant.
Many thanks for the advice. Will carry on feeding with tomato feed and let them die naturally then lift them.
Regards
