Emaggie - you wouldn't happen to know whether it's the bocking version, or the "spread like wildflower" version ?

Ummm  oh dear I don't know. there are about 5 nice plants, about 2ft at least in diameter in a nice tidy row,and as the plot hasn't been in use for a few years I can only assume it's the Bocking variety. I will go and photograph it first thing tomorrow and post it here.
Watch this space! (unless you can tell me another way of identifying it)
Sorry I'm so higgrent.!

Hi Emaggie,

Also hignorant  ;)  But as you say it seems to be staying put.

I've got quite an extensive list of seeds now, so if you're short of anything...  I'm starting to feel rather guilty because I keep receiving rather than giving  :-[  So can I swap something  :D

Cheers, John

Hello Emaggie

Just to let you know that the Comfrey came through safe and sound.  Took me about 10 minutes to get it open though !!  :D They are now safe and sound potted up in their new pot in my new herb garden.  I presume from reading the other postings that this is called the 'bocking comfrey'.   ;D

Thanks so much for your kindness - your seeds are on their way. You should get them tomorrow before 12.  I sent them 1st class yesterday.  Happy planting.

I'd love some comfrey too if there's still any on offer.

I've been waiting over a month now for mine to arrive and I'd really like to get some started.

I've plenty of sunflower  or Early Nantes carrot seeds to exchange. oh and a spare pack of Chinese Forget-Me-Not "Chill Out".

would be everso grateful.
