Title: Has spring come?
Post by: laurieuk on April 10, 2006, 16:08:03
I took this photo this morning 10 April with the snow on my show Daffodil beds. Our local show is this Saturday : :o  We had about 7 inches during the night we have several trees down and jew trees are bent to touch the ground. The last time we had very much snow in April was on the 10th also a Sunday in 1994. I was able to cut good blooms the following Saturday so I am keeping my fingers crossed this time. There are over 100 varieties under that snow. :-\ ???  (http://htt (http://imageshack.us)(http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/1687/showdaffs6po.jpg)

Where I am, the blackthorn's blooming, the bees are bringing in bright yellow willow pollen, and spring is definitely here, even if it is a month behind.
