Title: good germination...then nothing :(
Post by: emma h on April 09, 2006, 07:22:09
I'm having a very high success rate with germinating seeds (I have a very sunny windowsill with a radiator underneath which acts like a propagator). However, while the seeds develop their 2 initial leaves, a lot of them just seem to be staying like that. I've tried keeping them on the warm shelf, moving them to the conservatory, but they just seem to be staying the same....does it take a while or should I be potting them on etc?

thanks

Emma

What did you sow and how long have they stayed as just seed leaves?

Can you do pictures emma?
Your growing conditions sound fine, so your seedlings should be grateful >:( ;))

Early thoughts:
how long have the seed leaves been out? they have a lot of work to do before the plant will commit to the extra energy needed for true leaves
is the compost over-wet?

but pix and knowing what you're growing would be best 8) then we can all dive in :P
