Title: Moss + composting
Post by: Deeds on April 03, 2006, 16:15:11
I have one bed that in winter gets covered by a thick layer of moss.  The only way to get rid of it is to pick it off by hand, it comesoff in sheets with a fair bit of soil attached.  The soil underneath isn't compacted or wet it's the usually lovely crumbly loam. I'd love to how it, but I'd only take off the tops of the lilies and other bulbs that are starting through.

My question is can I compost this, I thought it may be ok mixed in with the grass cuttings.

It rots, same as any other plant. Just bung it in with the rest.
