Title: frosthardiness psb-varieties
Post by: blight on April 02, 2006, 14:48:01
some of my psb - plants were damaged by the frost this winter. for the next season I have bought seeds of both early and late varieties. I wonder which of the two is more frost tolerant?  there is no information on the seed packets. does anybody know?

I would assume the late variety is more frost tolerant, since it has to stand through winter before harvesting in feb-march.  It took me a while to work out that psb = purple sprouting broccoli :D :D

You may have been unlucky?

The only ones that are (normally) likely to suffer are the Early Whites. E&OE!
