I have recently moved and so had to give up my allotment plot. Boo hoo - all that hard work has had to be left behind. But to the future. My allotment, albeit a little smaller now, is going to be at the bottom of my garden. That means no excuses to get out and do my weeding!!
Ohhhhh congrats! Would love to have mine at the bottom of the garden! Most envious :)
Like me. But still have more than enough to try my strength. And patience.
Nice and handy to nip out in between the April showers. :) busy_lizzie
I have a half plot allotment, but do my soft fruit at the bottom of my garden, easier to get stuff when it's just ripe, and closely monitor stuff....
Good luck with your new allotment. Wish mine was at the bottom of my garden then I wouldn't have to drag the kids with me up the road saying "how long we going to be at the allotment?"
Hi Lizard Man, like yourself I am lucky enough to have my plot at the end of my garden.
I know I'm 'lucky' because people keep telling me so.
However, I sometimes think I'd get more done if I had to load up the car and drive down the road. I'd imagine I'd put at least a half day in if I had to go to that amount of trouble.
Problem is I generally find myself popping in for five minutes at a time, surveying my land and dreaming of things to come before being 'summoned' back home. ::)
The grass is always greener I guess (judging by the amount on my plot at the moment anyway). ;D
Noddy.
me too....but what is it with humans?we slways think the grass is greener etc...i like having my 'lottie' on my doorstep..but from what i've read i miss out on the..erm.....cameraderie of the allotments-no one to swap noteds with or have a laugh or a word with.....
