Title: Blanching Cardoons
Post by: Dan 2 on March 30, 2006, 17:36:34
Hi everyone, I've bought some Cardoon seeds to try this year. I admit I bought them for their architectural beauty but I know you can eat them after you've blanched them 9not the boiling type!). What I was wondering is- when? When do i wrap the newspaper round their stems and for how long do I leave it? Any helps or tips for growing them would also be appreciated as they will be in a flower bed not a lottie. Thanks in Advance, Dan :-)

Hi Dan, try http://www.pfaf.org/database/plants.php?Cynara+cardunculus
Jennym gave the link to Plants for a Future (www.pfaf.org), I often look there first! You very brave, hope they reward you ;)
