We have never had any of these in our garden before, but we have had a pair around for quite some time now. They are such wonderful little birds & I have been watching them being so busy collecting material & building a nest in a neighbours ceanothus. It's not too sad that I'm so excited is it?
No Beejay, i saw a blackbird this morning pulling grassy looking stuff from one of my pots , and said ohhhh look thats lovely then relised i was on my own ::) but thats ok i am also excited but he was also in next door and i wanted him in my garden, we have bluetits in both boxes ;D ;D ;D.
No Beejay, you are not sad, just sit down and watch your birds, it is one of the great pleasures in life to take time out and watch them.
I get into real trouble for being distracted by birds on our feeders, then OH pointed out a woodpecker the other day - he's caught the bug too!
It is only a few short weeks the birds are making their nests we have to make the most of it.
Now I've just seen 2 goldfinches, a very rare visitor. :)
