Title: Can you grow gherkins in the veg patch or greenhouse?

Brought them from seeds of Italy, cant understand the italian instructions the packet!!

I grew gherkins outside last year with good success.

Ditto, I have grown them outside too. In fact, I have never tried growing them in the greenhouse.

This month's RHS magazine The Garden has a wonderful feature on diversity on allotments - with stories of Italian, Punjabi, Jamaican and Polish growers. The Polish grower has gherkins everywhere, outdoors ;D ;D

tell us what the seed packet says? some of us might well know the lingo ;)
(what variety are they? there are outdoor and indoors ones, you see)

O.k the make is "Beth Alpha" cetriolino, The rest is written in italian!!

Gherkins are fine grown outside.

Yup, here here, and they are quick growing so keep an eye on 'em!
