The photos of all the wrens are great, i am suffering ~ on friday my oh and i left a large beautiful garden which has been tended better than the house, leaving behind two, yes two wren nests and a blackbird nesting.  My dove cote will have to be removed later in the season as there was a 'pigeon pair', not a week old in it.  Luckily the new people have agreed to leave them although i was dissapointed to see them taking in a cat in its basket to their new home. Ugh!
As for the other type of wrens ~ my mother and sister were wrens & i work in a naval base and they are everywhere!!!
The garden i have now is about 6 foot by 8, luckily i have my allotment.

Sad to leave a garden.
The wren seems to be one of the more common birds around here. If you walk  along the lane it is not uncommon to see over a dozen in the mile or so between us and the main road.
One pair nests in a hole in the wall of the chicken shed.

Yes great shots Eric, such fast little birds that dont generally stop long enough to stand still and smile for their picces  :)
