I ordered some petunia plug plants. They're arrived, and I've noticed that a lot of the individual cells have got 2 tiny plants growing in them instead of just one :D
Can I split them to maximise the number I've got?
Or would it be better to leave them alone incase I damage the leaves and/or roots when separating them?
Thanks for any advice.
I have done this in the past with impatiens speed plugs with no problem so I don't see why you shouldn't do it with petunias. It is really no different to pricking out seeds sown in a pot.
Thank you - that sounds positive then :D
I haven't grown many flowers before, but I just kept getting a nagging thought that the roots of some veggies don't like being moved and fiddled with. So I thought I'd ask just incase petunias were a bit particular like that. Okay... i'll stop waffling and get back to gardening now ;D
