Title: Kill the aphids
Post by: powerspade on March 15, 2006, 17:26:29
Sorry I made a mistake. There was no need for people on this forum to email me in such  nasty and evil way No wonder a lot of good gardeners have left this site. So now I`m joining them

Yeah, I've heard this works too.. might be worth giving it a try.

(Although I think it's technically illegal to make your own pesticides. And don't drink the stuff, as elder leaves are pretty poisonous.)

Oooh thanks for that one, Powerspade. :) I've just discovered some greenfly in my greenhouse and I've got elderberry at the allotment.  Is it safe to use on seedlings?

It is technically illegal, due I believe to the number of people who used to be killed by homemade nicotine preparations. I use rhubarb leaves.

But surely that would also kill the ladybirds and their larvae
