Keep at it. It took me three months to clear my plot; I had a pile of non-inflammable rubbish six feet high and 20 feet across, which filled a small Council lorry nine times over. On top of that, I had massive bonfires daily for the three months. You get there in the end.

If you have a burning desire  ;D ;D  to clear your plot then you will clear it. Take it a little but often. Dont go at it all at once. The key is to enjoy :D

Onion setts are pretty foolproof; the rest depends on the weather. We still seem to be in the depths of winter here. I'm putting my onions in now, to be followed by potatoes. I won't be planting any seeds in the ground until it warms up significantly. I'm currently holding off on non-hardy veg like tomatoes and corn; they can go in the cupboard under the water heater to start off, but will it be warm enough for them when they need to go out in a cold frame?

Giraffe, have a look at the button marked 'wiki' at the top of the page, the secton on the wiki called 'methods of cultivation' will give you extra ideas as will the section marked 'monthly planner'

(The wiki is there to be added to by anybody, so you may want to add your experience or ammend some of the stuff on there too)
