Title: Covering seeds

Hello. Just put some toms and chilli's in propogator. Used grit sand for 1st time to cover the seeds. What do other folk use?

Just sieved compost, or if I have it, vermiculite.

Sieved compost. Infact I have just now popped some Capsicum "Toreador" into the propagator covered in sieved compost. I have tried vermiculite but never having had any trouble with the compost I don't bother now.
