Does anyone know what the little pencil and paper icon means, I have one on my posts. I don't dare click it incase I'm never heard from again ;D
Ani, are you meaning the one which also has 'reply' written on it ??? ;D
its the edit in position thing. rather than clicking edit on your post and being directed to a new window it lets you edit your post in the same screen.
Give it a go!
It is very handy Ani, when you realise that you have made a spelling mistake or some other sort of error and you can correct it, even though it has been posted. Have used it a few times and saved my embarrassment. :D busy_lizzie
Well I never!! How observant people are.

eyes tight shut, me ;D
It's definitely going to be as useful as the spell check that I need use regularly. Only noticed it today. Can't see one on anyone else's, does that mean I've got a reputation for editing my posts ;D
I use it on just about every post I do, since I rarely see my errors until after I have posted !
Edit - this one was ok - apart from this edit !
Personally if there is a button and I dont know what it does I like to click it and see what happens ;D If there is a countdown from ten to zero then a strange smell of wires melting and white smoke from the monitor then I start to panic but normally it does not harm to click on a few buttons.

I remember last Christmas as a stocking filler, we gave my eldest son a little red button to stick on his keyboard, with the word PANIC written on it ... ;D
Strange having TWO ways of taking your foot out of your mouth??
Is there some clever distinction?
Perhaps use which ever you feel most comfortable with Tim? They certainly appear to achieve the same end result.
Thanks!
Thanks for the lovely chuckle guys - I really enjoyed this post ;D Me, I am so inquisitive I always end up pushing the button. Thank goodness I'm just a mad gardener and not a scientist. ::)
Clearly my granddaughter likes pushing random buttons too. Came home today to find a newly configured PC. ::) ::)
