Title: Diagnosis on our avocado required........
Post by: daisymay on March 02, 2006, 21:02:24
We have been patiently nurturing this baby for at least 6 months now. Knew it as a stone etc....

any ideas what is wrong with it?

I have two avocado plants, grown from the same stone about four month’s old.  One of them looked just like yours so I just pulled the leaves off.  It’s now doing just fine apart from having three leaves less than its twin.

Show it this - it'll either die of fright or try to prove you wrong!!

It looks as tho' the leaves have been wet or damp and then scorched (sun/wind), are they on a windowsill or extreme area?  My avodados are doing really well, nothing on them........ ;)

they were on a south facing window ledge, so maybe a culprit of cold night then super hot day in the sunshine - was 22 degrees on the ledge the other day when I checked the thermometor. Have moved it from the direct sunlight and seems to be abit happier and has started to sprout a couple of new leaves.

Thanks as ever guys  ;D ;D
