Title: Asian Pears - any feedback?

I as wondering whether or not to get a (some?) asian pears (http://www.victoriana.ws/Product.asp?PID=729  (http://www.victoriana.ws/Product.asp?PID=729)hosui, kosui or Nihiseki), but have no knowledge of them at all..

Does anyone here have any feedback?

ease of growth?
spacing
tenderness
yield
TASTE(!)

How extraordinary - I recently bought loads of these from the greengrocer, and really enjoyed them, so saved some seeds, and put them in a pot to see what happens! I thought they were called chinese pear, but am wrong - this is definitely it! They tasted nice, like a crunchy pear, but not quite as hard as an apple would be. They tasted good when I bought them, and as I bought a lot, they were still being eaten 3 weeks later and were in perfect condition (just kept in a dish in the kitchen). Think I might indulge myself and make a purchase too!
