I have been given some fruit bushes from two different sources this week. Three (don't know what they are but suspect redcurrant and gooseberry) were given to me are like mini-bushes and are in pots. The other two, blackcurrants, are just bits of bush in a carrier bag. The pots are at present in the garden and the bag is just inside the garage.
Trouble is the weather here is very cold and sleety and looks like it might be so over the weekend. Do I bit the bullet, get the thermals out and dig out a bed and get them in - or will they be okay where they are until a warmer day?
Thanks
The ones in pots will be fine for a while.
The bare rooted ones wont like to be left out of the ground too long, especially as they will have buds swelling on them already I suspect.
For a temporary home I would just heal them into the ground some place until you have their final home sorted out but don't leave it too long.

Thanks - any idea what the one bush with thorns would be?? All the others don't have any so I am assuming this is the gooseberry?
