Potato chits

How many chits do you leave on your earlies and 2nd's?
How many do you leave on your mains?

Personally I normally leave them all on my spudies. If you plant them in fertile ground, feeed and water them well, earth them up to protect them from late frosts then it does not really matter about removing any chits. That is only my opinion as I am not a very big spud grower. There may be many other opinions on how to deal with this question.

So do I.

I've read that you get fewer (but larger) spuds if you rub some off, and more (not so large) spuds - and a higher yield - if you leave them all on.

And I don't like peeling very large spuds...

I rub off any which are below the 'waistline'.
