Does anyone have any suggestions for crops to grow inside to harvest march - may
I already have
lettuce/mixed leaves
strawberries (flowering now)
potatoes (in pots)
carrots (in pots)
and calabrese plants ready to go out as soon as i dare for frost hardiness
According to my RHS book:
broad beans
winter cabbage
calabrese
celeriac
celery
lamb's lettuce
globe artichoke
kale
kohlrabi
landcress
parsnip
radish
rocket
seakale
spinach
sprouting broccoli
turnip
I am currently able to harvest chard, spinach, salad leaves, leeks, kale, sprouting brocolli, brussel sprouts, various cabbages, and spring onions from the plot. From storeage I have carrots, parsnips, spuds, garlic, shallots and squashes galore.
You're doing better than me Emma :D
Have still got chard, perpetual spinach, leeks, sprouting broccoli and parsnips in the ground.
In store just onions and beetroot. And pickled onions, and spiced beets too. ;)
Wish I had squashes. Will have to try harder this year
Hi
WOW :o :o I am impressed how are you storing it all?
Pakaba
I have a passage down the side of the house that is under cover.
All my pot plants are in there along with anything else I can squeeze in ;D
