I've just returned from InStore (was poundsretchers) today with a walk in greenhouse, it measures 190cm high x 186cm long x 122cm wide, cost£35 .
I know its not as great as the real thing but it will do as a place to put seedlings in until ready for beds,
I'm not boasting, just letting everyone know if like me their fed up with not enough space on windowsills.
Haven't got it up yet but will let you all know how I get on tomorrow.
is it one of the plastic cover/guy rope/tubular frame varieties ??
mine served me very well until it ended devastated by a gale.
it's now a cube with a cover ;D
Hi Mrs KP, yes thats the one, I've put it in a sunny , sheltered spot, and am going to start a prayer group for it, if I can keep it alive until the winter I might get a real one for Xmas or failing that I hope to have enough saved for a real one.
In the mean time I've weighted in down with concreate blocks.
you might want to try and reinforce the seams where the ties are sewn somehow as they were the weakest link.
i long for sunny and sheltered, as i'm on top of a hill and we get the full westerlie force on occasion.
i will pray with you ;D
I bought a similiar version from my Morrisons last year, it came complete with shelf for seedlings and only cost £20. I got a very good crop of toms, cukes, aubergines & capsicums.
To stop my being destroyed I set it up in a sheltered corner. To stop it becoming windborne I fastened bricks to the base.
The only drawback I've found is that when it rains the rainwater accumulates on the roof & I have to tip it off (great for getting rid of next door's F!!**cking cat).
Mine's currently being cleaned and dismantled ready for the house move
CC
just popped into in-store just then, and got a mini 3-tier one reduced from £12 to £9.95 also got 3 propogators with drip tray, lid and seed holders for £3.
Just found this walk in one online for £19.99 - and they're currently doing free delivery too...

I was looking for a cold frame to harden off seedlings in, but this might give me a chance to try growing other things too.
I know its basic, but at that price I think its worth a go :D
i like the look of that and it seems better value for your twenty notes than the lidl offers coming up tomorrow.
