As much as I welcomed the rain down here last night, did not appreciate the wind. I had my spuds in a lightweight cold-house and the cover flew off as they can do.
Only moved them outside as it was quite warm where they were originally. The spuds were in a seed tray chitting away and got soaked.
Is this likely to cause a problem as they were out there for a few hours.
cheers
Jim
Fret ye not!
If in doubt why not bring them indoors for a day or two to dry off ?
As Tim so rightly says, fret ye not. Just don't let them freeze. If they were under the soil, they'd be wet! I am most certain that any volunteers lurking on my plot will survive to come up later - they always do!
Seem to have dried out but they were in a seed tray with no drain holes so were half submerged in water until I saw the cover in the garden.
Guess they should be OK - cannot help but fret sometimes :-)
