I haven't grown parsnips and peas before and would like to know if anyone can recommend good varieties for these.
thanks
Linda.
I would reccomend Onward for peas, and Gladiator for parsnips.
Your might get every variety going posted here. It is a personal preference of course.
good luck with whatever you decide
Thanks for that, I'll look out for them.
Linda.
If you run a search on parsnips I think you will find Tender and True come out as hot favourites!! This will be my first try at them and I will be using those.
Agree with CG about Onward peas!!
Tender and True are very good, depending on your ground, white gem from suttons is worth a consideration.
iv never grown parsnips but for peas i always use kelvedon wonder they do ok for me good luck id try a few and see which you like best space permitting ;D
Parsnips i always grow "Student" and peas either "Onward" 2ft high and "Alderman" 6ft plus
Thanks all for your replies. Not sure which ones I'll try but it's great to get some ideas from people who have grown them before.
Linda.
