I haven't grown parsnips and peas before and would like to know if anyone can recommend good varieties for these.

I would reccomend Onward for peas, and Gladiator for parsnips.
Your might get every variety going posted here.  It is a personal preference of course.

If you run a search on parsnips I think you will find Tender and True come out as hot favourites!! This will be my first try at them and I will be using those.

Agree with CG about Onward peas!!

Tender and True are very good,  depending on your ground, white gem from suttons is worth a consideration.

iv never grown parsnips but for peas i always use kelvedon wonder they do ok for me good luck id try a few and see which you like best space permitting   ;D

Parsnips i always grow "Student" and peas either "Onward" 2ft high and "Alderman" 6ft plus
