Title: Baking potatoes
Post by: tim on February 11, 2006, 17:17:15
Is there a temperature at which a potato is correctly cooked - as with meat?

So much easier to have the thermometer alarm tell you, rather than several physical squeezings?

180 deg C. for an hour suits us - but it will depend on the size of the spud!!

Yes - thanks. What I meant was the internal temp as read by a meat thermo.

Yes, chris - or a knife or squeeze gently!!

But I wanted a way that would tell me when they were ready. And now I have it - see 'where to put it' in Basics. Just sit back & wait for the alarm!
