Title: What to grow near big conifers
Post by: Linda on February 06, 2006, 20:58:18
Can anyone help? I'm looking for nice things that will grow near some big conifers. They will get a fair bit of light because of hwere the trees are, but the ground will be very dry and poor.

I'm thinking of trying Pulmonaria, hardy Geraniums, Epimedium, Euonymus fortunei and Hellebores, plus muscari, Crocus and species Tulips. Can anyone suggest anything else?

Determined to get some colour in there....!!

Yellow corydalis in summer - will tolerate a lot of drought once germinated.

I have just read another thread about conifers with this link which has an answer to the same question as yours...

Don't know if this is any help!
