Title: Wooly fruit!
Post by: bananagirl on February 03, 2006, 09:31:47
I made it to Woolies yesterday, and got a black and a red currant, then suffered some curious looks and wierdo remarks at work (they just don't understand! ::)) They rushed home to look them up in my books, which were entirely unhelpful. I know I can plant them in pots, but are they self-fertile, or do I need to get them some mates??

Thanks Y'all

I am pretty sure they are self fertile so should be fine.

I'm certainly going on that assumption as I have one of each -the red currant fruited last year too.
