Well, when you are sat at the computer do you?
I am slightly addicted to spider, and won't do X chore until I have won!!! Tis an addiction I tell ya! ;D ;D
DP
My OH is addicted to Spider Doris. Everytime I look into his room and he is on the puter, day or night, there he is playing spider. You are not alone.....
;D ;D ;D ;D
I alternate between spider and http://www.bobpitch.com/zookeeper/zk.html and my kids think I'm seriously sad. They could be right!
Ok Jill no that I need another game to be addicted to, but how do you play zookeeper? ;D
I love spider too ... stops me doing so many things as I can't leave it until I've won ... my OH's brother in law is also addicted
i love spider too, really bad addiction here! We used to have an old BBC pc years ago and loved 'Chukie Egg' on it, my daughter has found a version on the Internet and is always on it, I daren't even ask her the website in case I get hooked again...
OH & I too, 'cept we have different compulsions - Iwon't stop until after I've lost after a win - my best winning streak was 5 in a row & I don't want to quit until I'm sure I'm not on another winning run.
OH replays the same game again and again using different moves until he's sure the game is unwinnable. Mind you, it's the same traits that pay the bills and put plonk in the wine glasses so we've decided to love our weirdness.
I remember once, a manager at work was cynical of people who used the office computers at lunchtimes to play games ... I retorted that at least they were occupying themselves mentally, doing challenging tasks. He didn't reply, but I didn't get any promotions either ... :)
And spider is?
Spider solitaire, even more addictive than minesweeper (which I used to play on the uni computers in 1991-4).
Now, I play runescape, a big multiplayer online role-playing game thing.
Bunch! I claim it helps me sharpen my mind ;D
I am a spider addict too and can't leave it until I have won.
A few years back I was addicted to Jezball and got up to about level 16, but then updated computer and no Jezball on it. :'(
Doris
With zookeeper you have to line up 3 of the same animals, either vertically or horizontally and then they will disappear and the gaps will be filled in. Once you've 'disappeared' a certain no of each animal, you'll go up a level.
But perhaps I shouldn't have told you..... ;)
My favourite game ever was tetris but I only had a dos version that doesn't run properly on this modern PC :(.
I am addicted to the suduko on line. Easy than the paper versions as it lets you check as you go along and highlights your mistakes. Where's spider

I occasionally dip into one of these:

You don't have to have read Fforde's books to play them, but it might help!
(PS Pickwick is the main character's pet dodo. Obviously.)
Quake and Half Life and MAx PAyne. :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

If I am seen on this board at 2 a.m. it's because I've been playing games online. Sudoko, Mahjong in all it's various forms, then I have Hoyle Puzzle Games downloaded which I play repeatedly trying to beat myself and also I log on to http://www.eastoftheweb.com/games/index.html for word games some of which are multiple players and I just can't believe the scores some people manage to get!
Just love the challenge and they do say use it or lose it (it is the mind they are talking about isn't it???)
