I've just taken delivery of 1000 snowdrop bulbs from www.eurobulbs.com and I am really impressed. 8)
They are 'in the green' and actually in flower at the moment. :) They were only despatched yesterday and they arrived this morning!!
They cost me just £65 + £2.50p for carriage. Much cheaper than anywhere else I've found selling them.
In with the bulbs I ordered I also got 60 FREE Elwessi Snowdrops and 60 FREE Sanakeshead Lilies.:)
My ground is frozen solid at the moment so I've looked out some troughs from the shed and planted them in multi-purpose compost for the time being. I then gave them a drink of tepid water and stood the containers on the patio. I can't wait until the ground thaws out so that I can plant them where they'll spread year after year to form a beautiful white carpet!!! :D
Eileen that sounds wonderful, I desperately want some more snowdrops. I tried the link but got a search engine, is this the link?:
http://www.eurobulbs.co.uk/
Oops!!!!!! :-[ Yes that's the link Tulippa I don't know why I typed in .com - just another senior moment I suppose. ::)
BTW the price includes £10.05 for VAT so it's actually an even better bargain!!! ;D
That sounds pretty good. I've acquired mine from numerous sources over several years, which has the advantage that I have many different varieties and a long flowering season. So far the only ones flowering are Elwisii (2 bulbs left after the thefts!) and caucasicus, both of which are larger than the ordinary ones. I shouls have masses out soon though.
