Title: quick question

hi all i am new to allotments and whould say i have not got a clue
but my wife and my 2 little girls have just got are first allotment for a
i dont know much about them where my little girl and my wife do i was wondering what is easy to grow for a noivce like myself as i am going to claim a little corner of the plot for myself to try and grow somthing

Hi Marfleet, potatoes ,runners, beetroots carrots ,peas are all fairly easy to grow depending how big your corner is

Radish, onions from sets, shallots, lettuce. All are easy.

Courgettes usually produce a good crop without too much bother. Bit early for those yet I think though.

Or you could plant some raspberries or blackcurrants?

Marfleet,
grow what your wife and kids will eat!  I've seen a few newbies (and I'll include myself in that number) who have looked in the book, got the seeds and grown the crops only to find that the family are not interested in what you offer them.  Soft fruit is usually a winner.  Good luck.  Lance

i have just got some gaint onions and two diffrent types of chilli the wife and kids will not eat the chilli's but all the more for me lol
