Bought a couple of mushroom boxes from B&Q yesterday reduced to £1

Can I start growing these now or should I wait for spring?

I got one for Xmas .
I'm going to start it today but keep it in the house if i can hide it from the wife.

I think you can start them any time. If you keep them in the house you can control the temperature.
Personally I'm going to grow some to be ready when my plum tomatoes are 'cos I like the combination in sauces.
